Once a family member’s tracking token is added inside the SOS App, you can monitor their real-time location securely and privately.
Live Tracking ensures you are always connected to your loved ones, allowing faster assistance during emergencies.


Overview

Live Tracking allows you to:

  • View the continuously updated live location of your trusted family members.
  • See movement patterns and last known locations directly within the SOS App.
  • Respond faster in emergencies based on accurate real-time positioning.

Tracking is peer-to-peer and encrypted, ensuring privacy and security at all times.


How Live Tracking Works

Tracking updates occur automatically as long as both devices have active internet and background location permissions granted.


Tracking Conditions

For Live Tracking to work properly:

  • Both devices must have:

    • Location Services enabled ("Allow all the time").
    • Internet connection active (Wi-Fi or mobile data).
  • App Permissions:
    The SOS App must have:

    • Background Location Access.
    • Battery Optimization disabled (recommended).
  • SOS App must be running:
    It can be minimized but should not be force-stopped by battery savers.

Whitelisting the SOS App in device settings helps maintain continuous tracking without interruptions.


How to View a Family Member’s Live Location

  1. Open the "SOS App".
  2. Navigate to "Dashboard → Family Tracking".
  3. Tap to "Live Tracking".
  4. Tap on the family member you wish to track. If no token is added, add member by clicking "+" icon.
  5. View their live updated location on the map, along with:
    • Current address (if available)
    • Last update timestamp

If the tracked device goes offline, the last known location remains visible until reconnection.

The last known location remains displayed.
Tracking resumes automatically once the device reconnects to the internet.

Can multiple users track one device?

Yes. As long as trusted users have the valid token, multiple users can track the same device.
