Travel Safety Info

The Travel Safety Info feature allows you to quickly notify your registered emergency contacts when you are traveling.
You can share your current location, destination, and vehicle number before or during a trip, while also keeping a history of past travel alerts.


Access Travel Safety Info

  1. Open The Famalth ONE App on your Android device.
  2. Navigate to Location & Tracking → Travel Safety Info.

When you open this screen, the app automatically fetches your current location using GPS.


Enter Trip Details

  1. Current Location

    • The app automatically detects your current location.
    • Verify the displayed address before sending.
  2. Place of Destination

    • Tap the Destination field and type your destination.
    • You can enter a city, full address, or landmark.
  3. Vehicle Number

    • Enter your license plate or vehicle identifier (e.g., UK07AB1234).

Once all fields are filled, tap Inform Now.

Double-check spelling of the destination and vehicle number before sending to ensure accuracy.


Inform Emergency Contacts

  1. Tap Inform Now after filling the details.
  2. Your emergency contacts will instantly receive:
    • Current Location (From)
    • Destination (To)
    • Vehicle Number
    • Timestamp of alert

For continuous location sharing, use Trip Tracker.


Travel History

All your sent travel alerts are stored under Travel History.

  • Each record shows:

    • Destination
    • Starting Location
    • Vehicle Number
    • Date & Time of alert
  • You can:

    • Mark as Reviewed (green check icon).
    • 🗑️ Delete the record (red trash icon).

This ensures a log of your trips for reference or safety tracking.


Best Practices

  • Always inform contacts before starting travel, not mid-way.
  • Use this feature for long trips, late-night travel, or intercity journeys.
  • Keep your vehicle number updated for quick recognition in case of emergencies.

FAQs

Q1: Can I edit a travel alert after sending?

No. Once sent, alerts cannot be edited. You must create a new alert with updated details.

Q2: Do contacts get live updates?

No. Travel Info only sends a one-time travel summary.
For live updates, use Family Tracking or Trip Tracker.

Q3: Will deleted travel history also delete alerts from my contacts?

No. Deleting from Travel History only removes it from your app log.
Contacts will still retain the alert message they received.


The Travel Safety Info feature provides peace of mind by ensuring your emergency contacts know where you are headed, what vehicle you’re using, and when you left — with a full history log for reference.
