If your question isn’t answered here, please explore our specific feature guides or contact support through the SOS App.
Can the SOS App send alerts without internet?
Yes.
If mobile data or Wi-Fi is unavailable, the SOS App sends SOS alerts via SMS automatically.
Your live GPS coordinates are included in the SMS message if location access permission is granted.
How do I add or change emergency contacts?
Go to Dashboard → Emergency Contacts inside the app.
You can add new trusted contacts directly from your phonebook, edit existing details, or remove old contacts easily.
Does Fall Detection work in the background?
Yes.
Fall Detection runs continuously even when the app is minimized, as long as background location access and physical activity recognition permissions are enabled.
Are my emergency recordings stored securely?
Yes.
Audio and video recordings are saved in a hidden, encrypted folder inside your device’s storage.
You can also optionally enable automatic uploads to your private Google Drive folder for backup security.
Can I disable the SOS Widget or Quick SOS Tile?
Yes.
You can remove the SOS Widget by long-pressing and deleting it from your home screen.
You can also remove the Quick SOS Tile manually through your device’s Quick Settings customization menu.
Will the SOS App affect my phone’s battery life?
No significant impact.
The SOS App is optimized for minimal background usage, typically consuming less than 1% of battery in 24 hours under normal conditions.
How does Family Member Tracking work?
Family Member Tracking uses secure Token Sharing between trusted devices.
Once both parties exchange and add each other’s tokens, you can view real-time live location updates inside the SOS App without depending on external servers.
How do I generate and share my tracking token?
Go to Dashboard → Family Tracking → Generate My Token.
Share the displayed token securely with trusted family members.
Only users with your token will be able to see your live location inside the app.
Can Fall Detection sensitivity be customized?
Yes.
You can adjust the fall sensitivity level inside Settings → Fall Detection → Sensitivity Settings to reduce false positives or better match your lifestyle.
Can I customize my SOS Alert message?
Yes.
You can personalize your SOS Alert under Settings → Customize SOS Message to include specific instructions, warnings, or medical details for your emergency contacts.
How do I back up and restore my emergency data?
Enable Cloud Backup inside the SOS App settings.
Your emergency contacts, health profile, and settings are securely uploaded to Google Drive.
In case of reinstalling or switching devices, simply choose Restore Backup during setup.
What permissions does the SOS App require?
The SOS App requests only necessary permissions such as:
- Location Access (Always Allow) — For sharing your location during emergencies.
- SMS Permission — To send SOS alerts when internet is unavailable.
- Contacts Access — To select trusted emergency contacts easily.
- Physical Activity Recognition — For Fall Detection and step tracking.
- Notification Access (Optional) — For critical alert notifications.
- Google Drive Access (Optional) — To enable cloud backup of emergency data.
All permissions are requested transparently with full explanations.
Can I use the SOS App internationally?
Yes.
The SOS App works globally.
You can update local emergency numbers manually based on the country or city you are traveling to for faster direct help.
Is my health information private?
Yes.
Your Emergency Health Information (blood group, allergies, medical conditions) is encrypted and stored locally on your device.
It is shared only if you explicitly enable sharing during SOS alerts, and even then only with your trusted contacts.
Does Step Counting work offline?
Yes.
Step Counting uses your device’s local motion sensors (accelerometer, gyroscope) and works entirely offline.
No internet or external syncing is needed for step tracking and activity monitoring.
How can I earn Activity Reward Points?
Activity Reward Points are awarded when you:
- Complete 5,000+ steps in a day.
- Maintain a 7-day activity streak (achieving your step goals daily).
Points reset monthly and encourage continuous health improvement.
What happens if I uninstall the SOS App?
The app is secured with admin security. You can also uninstall after disabling admin permission of the SOS App. If you have enabled Cloud Backup, you can restore all your emergency data and settings after reinstalling the app.
If backup was not enabled, your data will be lost, and you’ll need to set it up again manually.
